5 Months

Hooray!

So, as I mentioned briefly in the last post, Evey has had a very difficult time taking a bottle. We decided to try a sippy cup and have had some success. We also got turned on to a new bottle from our friend Jenn Glenn. The Adiri Natural Nurser. It's so cool! Evey's been doing great with it. So good, in fact, that after church this weekend she drank a whole 4 ounce feeding! And with formula!!! I feel so liberated:) Hooray for the Natural Nurser!!!

Updates from the last few weeks

So, it's been almost 3 weeks since our last post. A lot has been happenning. Andy started the football season as head JV coach, Evelyn had her 4 month checkup and is 14 pounds 11 ounces and 24 inches long, Grandma Carolyn visited us this weekend, Evey cut her first tooth last Wednesday, and she rolled over in her crib this morning when Daddy went in to get her! We still are having trouble getting her to take a bottle so we decided to try a sippy cup with a soft spout. Success!!! She hasn't taken a full feeding yet but will do an ounce or two:) Makes Mommy so happy:) Here are some pictures:

Labor Day heat wave

Since LA has been having a heat wave and our house is currently without AC, we decided to take Evey to the beach for Labor Day. We had a blast! Evey loves being outdoors and she looked super cute in her new outfits (Thanks to Julie Switzer and Miko Yoshida!)

100 Days

Yesterday, Evelyn turned 100 days old. In Korean tradition this milestone is very important and is celebrated (Baek-il ). We took some pictures of Evey to comemorate the day...

Oops

Well, I realized that after a day or two the video in our last post wasn't working anymore. It seems that there was an error in it and the host deleted it. Since it takes forever to upload a video we'll just wait....

Evey laughed for the first time on Saturday, August 4th. Since then I've been trying to catch her on video and I finally got a pretty good one. Enjoy!

12 weeks old

Yesterday, Evelyn turned 12 weeks old. She went with Mommy to a baby shower for our friend Sharon. Here are some pictures of her in her pretty dress that Elizabeth, Evalyn, Olivia and Grace gave her:

So, our back yard isn't big but now it's beautiful! Over the last week, Andy and our friend Dean have worked to put in a sprinkler system and grass. Here are the before and after shots...

Now Evey will have a nice place to play when she starts walking (and Daddy already bought a pink soccer ball and portable goals to start training!)

At ten weeks...

We slept through the night for the first time! Last night Evey hit a milestone by sleeping through the night. She went to sleep at 11 pm and didn't wake up until 7 am...what a huge blessing! :)

Baby announcement

Happy 2 month birthday, Evelyn!

Today is our girl's two month birthday! It has gone by so quickly and has been tons of fun:)

We went to her two month doctor's appointment on Tuesday. She has a clean bill of health and is growing like a champ. She weighs 11 pounds and is 21.5 inches long. That's two inches and almost 4 pounds bigger than when she was born. Obviously a great eater! She also got four immunization shots at the doctor's. She did great. Andy says she did better than he did:) Our next check up is in two more months.

Evey's first swim

While on our trip up to San Jose, Evelyn got her first chance to go "swimming". We went to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Stu's pool to cool off on a hot day. It was so fun and Evey did great!

Our first vacation

So I've received a few emails and comments regarding our lack of posts over the last couple of weeks. The reason for our blogging absence is that we took Evey up to San Jose to meet her family! We spent almost three weeks in Northern California and had a great time. Here are some pictures...
